A Bitcoin address is a unique identifier that serves as a virtual location where the cryptocurrency can be sent. People can send the cryptocurrency to Bitcoin addresses similarly to the way fiat currencies can often be sent to email addresses. The standard format for a Bitcoin address is P2PKH (pay to public key hash).
All Bitcoin transactions and the wallet addresses involved are recorded on a public blockchain – the Bitcoin blockchain, to be specific. They are open and available to everyone to see. However, Bitcoin wallet addresses alone don’t reveal any identifiable details.
You can find your Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or Bitcoin (BTC) address for receiving payments into your Bitcoin.com wallet by tapping “Receive” on the bottom toolbar of your wallet. Your address will be the long string of numbers and letters directly below the QR code for that address.
